3.1 Deactivation of CHEM 230 Integrated Laboratory program – Submitted by Dr. Peter Schaefer
3.2 Deactivation of the Chemical Technician A.S. degree program – Submitted by Dr. Peter Schaefer
CHEM 230 is only taken by students enrolled in the Chemical Technician program. In a proposal being submitted concurrently the Chemical Technician A.S. program is being deactivated.
3.3 Deactivate course ENGR 222 Thermodynamics – Submitted by Donald Heckelman
In order to improve transferability of ENGR 222 substantial changes needed to be made to the current course. It made more sense to deactivate the Current ENGR 222 Thermodynamics and create a new course ENGR 223 Thermal Fluid Science
3.4 New course ENGR 223 Thermal Fluid Science – Submitted by Donald Heckelman
With the addition of one contact hour and credit hour and renaming and renumbering the current ENGR 222 Thermodynamics, this course will improve transferability particularly for those students transferring to RPI.
3.5 Introduction of New Course CISS 233 C# Programming – Submitted by James Looby and Computing and Information Sciences Faculty
This course will be an elective for the Computer Information Systems A.S. and A.A.S. programs, the Web Design and WWW Programming A.A.S. curriculum and the Information Systems Certificate. This course is an introduction to the C# programming language and the .NET framework of the Microsoft Visual Studio. Net or an equivalent Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
3.6 Change in degree requirements for Administrative Information Management and Technology – Submitted by James Looby and Computing and Information Sciences Faculty
CMPT 150 – Advance topics in Office Technology is no longer needed in the AIM curriculum as this material is now covered in AITC 163 – Integrated Applications and AITC 166 – Internship. CMPT 150 will be replaced with an AIM restrictive elective chosen by permission of Department Chair.
3.7 Change in Degree Requirements – Criminal Investigation – Submitted by Dr. Ann Geisendorfer
The Department is proposing a change from requiring CRJS 246 – Forensic Science II and Arts 135 – Introduction to Photography to becoming optional restrictive photography elective and restrictive elective.
3.8 Change in Program Entrance Requirements for the Chemical Dependency Counseling A.A.S. program – Submitted by Karen Nash
3.9 Change in Program Entrance Requirements for the Human Services A.S. Program – Submitted by Karen Nash
There are proposed changes in the program entrance requirements eliminating the High School Average of 70 or above.
3.10 Change in prerequisites and course title to ARTS 233 Digital Photography – Submitted by Dorothy H. Reynolds
The new course title will be Intermediate Digital Photography and the new prerequisites will be ARTS 129 Photography I or ARTS 130 Photography I, and ARTS 133 Introduction to Digital Photography or by permission of Department Chair. A Digital SLR camera is required.
3.11 Change prerequisite and course description for ARTS 236 Independent Study in Photography – Submitted by Dorothy H. Reynolds
The Fine Arts Department wishes to update ARTS 236 so that the prerequisite will now read ARTS 129 Photography I or ARTS 130 Photography I.
3.12 Change in degree requirements for the Gallery Management A.S. degree program – Submitted by Dorothy H. Reynolds
There will be an addition to ARTS 129 Photography I to the degree requirements for the Gallery Management A.S. program due to the upcoming deactivation of ARTS 130 (Fall 2011).
